M.Arampatzis SA, having a leading position in the sector, contributes significantly to its development, having as pillars of operation innovation and sustainable development with respect for the environment and people, investing systematically and continuously in technological modernization infrastructure projects as well as in human resources.

Products are produced in its 3 facilities, with state-of-the-art equipment and fully automated processes at all stages of the production process, the delivery and management of raw materials and packaging materials, the storage of ready products, picking and handling to the customer. The company is certified with the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Assurance System standard and with the ISO 22000:2018, BRC and IFS v. 8 for the Food Safety Management System. It uses an automatic storage and cooling temperature control system, complying with all cold chain rules according to ISO 22000:2018, thus ensuring the integrity of perishable products.

M. Arabatzis SA, perceiving digital transformation and automation as important factors for increasing productivity, improving service and competitiveness, proceeded to invest in information systems at all stages of the production process.

During the recent investment & construction of the third state-of-the-art factory, special attention was paid to the selection of innovative solutions & automations that ensure sustainability, saving natural resources and reducing the environmental footprint. The new factory, which started operation in 2022, is a completely eco friendly facility, optimal energy efficiency and friendly to the environment. Specifically, an important investment is the installation of 1MWp photovoltaic panels on the roof of the new factory with the aim of converting solar energy into electricity by utilizing it in the production process. Also, an installation of automatic lighting with sensor function, low-consumption and high-performance LED lighting fixtures was carried out, which on the one hand contribute to increasing productivity and on the other hand upgrade the aesthetics of the space. At the same time, the cooling material of the cold rooms was replaced, from freon to ammonia, which, in addition to being more environmentally friendly (reduction of pollutants), also contributes to the reduction of energy consumption. Even through an automatic system, the use of ammonia saves water resources as the hot water produced for cooling the cold rooms is used for the needs of the factory and building facilities.

M. Arabatzis ABEE, in the context of improving the speed of customer service, proceeded with a large investment oriented towards the use of robots, which achieved a perfect packaging of the products, a reduction of errors and an increase in productivity. It also implements an automated system in the picking & dispatch area and the entire circuit is fully digitized, resulting in the possibility of traceability for each product. With the help of scanning, algorithms that take into account the specifications and quality characteristics of each product and special customizations, we optimize the receipt and shipment of products at the appropriate time, ensuring their quality and safety.
